My first post

First of all let me start off by introducing myself and how I ended up sharing my thoughts on this blog.  My name is Luke and I am a local drinking buddy of Mike Santa Barbaras.  I met Mike at Dead Presidents on wild card Saturday 2005.  My beloved New York Jets were battling the San Diego Chargers that particular year.  I believe I got flagged around halftime during that game.  During my second half "blackout" some of the regulars decided to fuel the fire by putting more Grand Marinier in my system.  Those regulars turned out to be Mike and his buddies(which I had no recollection of) and the night ended with a lot of angry patrons and me cursing and climbing on bar stools and booths like a marsupial.  The game ended with a Jets victory and I made sure the entire bar knew.  From then on, I was known as "JetsGuy" which has lead to some very public drunken arguments in Dead Presidents.  Which brings me to the reason I'm excited about this blog.

To me there is nothing like a good intelligent sports argument between a die hard New York fan and a die hard Philly fan.  That is as long as the parties involved aren't trying to smash eachothers face in.  Being a New York fan in the Philadelphia area has at times sucked, but for the most part been satisfying.  Knowing that there are people that have to go through the same grueling garbage every year that I do makes me feel okay with being a Mets, Jets, Islanders, and Knicks fan.  No matter how much New York fans and Philly fans argue, rest assured both sides are going to be dissapointed at the end of the season.  Hopefully, I will be posting some stuff about my teams weekly.  Feel free to comment, bust my balls, agree with me, or tell me to fuck myself.

Phillies 11, Mets 10...Best game ever attended at Citizens Bank Park...and a mets fan had 3rd row seats to watch the down fall.
