Welcome to the Weekend

Everybody ready to watch the Pats go undefeated? The New York "Football" Giants don't have a prayer. This is what the Pats have been going after alllllllll season long and it's now only a game away. You think they're gonna let Eli Manning beat them? And the Giants are soft, and soft teams get dominated from the kickoff against the Patriots. Here's hoping the Jaguars meet the Pats in the Playoffs........remember you heard it here first...................IF THE PATRIOTS MEET THE JAGUARS IN THE PLAYOFFS I believe the Jags will win. Look at how teams played that gave the Pats the most problems? Tough, Physical defenses your Philadelphia Eagles, the Bob Sanders led Colts, and the Baltimore Ravens. The Jags have always been a physical defense but now they hold the intangibles advantage as well. They are now able to pull games out, there offense is winning games at the end when in the past they were coming up just short. Not saying there offense is setting the world on fire but they are capitalizing when teams make a mistake and they are showing up big when they need to.

Flyers Snap Losing Streak

Flyers finally snapped their losing streak and won their first game at home since December 11th beating the Toronto Maple Leafs 4-1. Continuing there great play this year Mike Richards and Joffrey Lupul had a multi-point night. It's a nice win albeit against a very tired Leafs squad. The Flyers will hopefully show their true colors and stop flip-flopping from game to game. They need to string a couple wins together now as they've found themselves on the outside looking in on the eight teams ahead of them in the playoff race.

Gagne Return?

Simon Gagne has been practicing full-time with the team but I wouldn't expect him back in the line-up until the middle of January. I understand the Flyers are struggling right now and not having gags in the line-up is starting to show. However, We aren't even to the half-way point of the season yet. There is no need to rush him back ask Eric Lindros or Keith Primeau it's NOT worth it. Gagne should not be in the line-up until he's completely healthy and feeling right, I don't care if the doctors clear him to play Gagne has to feel right and know he's ready.

Anybody See What Louis Williams Did the Other Night Against the Heat???????

I'll admit I was not on the Louis Williams bandwagon. His solid play in the NBA Summer League and during pre-season didn't really sell me. He obviously had more NBA "life" experience then any of the guys he was playing with or against so I thought that was the reason he was looking so good. Now with three years of learning (and it's not just the teaching, Louis had to listen and put the knowledge to work) the NBA game and the NBA life Louis Williams looks like a superstar in the making. Is game is becoming more and more well rounded every time he steps on the court. His confidence is high, the skies the limit for Louis, the Sixers future with him looks even brighter.

Until next time......Look for a blog from my buddy Justin Vavala he'll be a regular contributer to this page. He's a Philly guy 4 for 4 we don't always agree so there might be some trash talking on here , should be fun so check his stuff out as well.
