Do YOU believe Clemens? Plus, Flyers and Sixers Thoughts

I watched the entire interview on "60 Minutes" , Mike Wallace doing his best to grill Roger Clemens. It's hard to say how Clemens came off in the interview. At times he made good points, and at others he seemed to fumble his words around or not be able to say anything at all besides "didn't happen." He obviously has studied the effects of steroids he knew nearly everything about them. However, you can always look back to Brian McNamee he had no reason to lie. He was threatened with jail if he didn't talk, and threatened again if he lied. It's hard to say, if any of you read my article "What About Bud" you'd know that I already made the point I'm about to make again. The Mitchell Report's hearsay evidence allows all those accused to easily say "I didn't do it." And none of us can say anything. So again it looks as if we are back at square one when it comes to the whole steroid issue.

Last night the Sixers got destroyed by and old friend, Allen Iverson. Watching Allen fly around the court , seeing all the impressive numbers he's putting up made me think of the old days. Almost made me miss A.I , almost. Then I looked at Denver's record, can you guess what it is? I believe they are 17-17 , mediocrity. Which is what the Sixers would still be if he were still here and not moving this team into the right direction. Listen, I love A.I he was and is still a great player and I enjoyed his time here but the Sixers are better off without him and I'll argue that point with anyone.

The Flyers beat the Leafs the other day but not before losing Sami Kapanen and Joffrey Lupul to injury. Thank god it looks like Simon Gagne will be back Thursday. Lupul sustained a mild concussion and a bruised spinal cord when he was hit by teammate Derian Hatcher who was attempting to hit a leafs player but ended up taking both the leaf and Lupul out. It's a tough break for Lupul he's been having an amazing year, looks like he'll be out 2 weeks at least. Kapanen caught a high stick , he'll miss maybe a game. However, the Flyers are still without Upshall and Jason Smith. The Flyers have got to get healthy in a hurry or it's gonna start catching up with them.

Steve Downie just barely avoided ANOTHER suspension when he threw a "cheap shot" at the Leafs Jason Blake during a scrum that was being broken up by two refs. Blake was left with a little purple mouse under his left eye. I don't care I love Downie, people say he's a goon, Downie is far from a goon. He's a 2o year old with tremendous hockey skills and a bit of a mean streak, he has trouble controlling his temper. He's certainly made a name for himself already, which could work out well for the Flyers maybe the other team will be to busy paying attention to Downie rather then focusing on an injured and very vulnerable Flyers team for the time being.
